Spouse got a card in the mail today - June 17, 2013 - from the National Prescription Savings Network.
It was unsolicited. The documentation in the envelope says that there are no costs to use the card, i.e. no dues, annual fees, subscription charge. Nothing to pay for the use of the card.
Doing some due diligence internet searches most of the comments were very favorable and indicate that the card really did result in prescription savings.
Their web site claims that the savings are due to their size and negotiating power. They do stress that they are NOT an insurance policy. This card is meant to supplement existing prescription insurance.
The only negative comments that I saw were from those that thought this offer was too good to be true. I saw no reports of negative results from using the card.
Another surprising thing was that only my spouse got card. I did not get one. However the web site indicates that the card is available to all who ask for one.
There is no indication of who is sponsoring this program or who is funding it.
Just curious as to other people's experiences/thoughts.
