Contract talks to begin early, what should be priorities?

So the company sent out an email that they will start talking to the union about a contract extension on June 18th of THIS year! WOW! THat's over a year from expiration of the existing contract. So what do you think should be on the table for this next round of negotiations? Personally I'd be very happy with no givebacks, a pension bump up and a couple of 2% or 3% raises.

Agree with you on all counts. Would like to see it extended for for 4 years to take it through 2023. Some long term stability would be real nice. We had a five year contract once. Not sure how it will play out with the new leadership so to have something that would last longer term would be a great piece of mind for many of us who are getting close to being retirement eligible.
