FYI, here's a link to an informative table that shows the annual payout effect of delaying the start of your social security. It shows the annual increase associated with delating the start. (Not including the cost of living increases)

It doesn't show the negative effects of having less than 35 years of decent earnings, you can find that on the Social Security webpages.

In general the difference between starting SS at age 62 with 33 years of decent earnings - and at age 65 with 35 years of decent earnings is more than most people would think.
